On December 3, 2024, the Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Notification 6150/TB-BLDTBXH concerning the holidays on Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day (April 30), and International employees' Day (May 1) in 2025 for officials and public employees and employees.

Carrying out the directive of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Official Dispatch 8726/VPCP-KGVX dated November 26, 2024, from the Office of the Government of Vietnam regarding the Lunar New Year and certain holidays in 2025, the Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs hereby informs administrative agencies, non-business units, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises, and other employers of the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day (April 30), and International employees' Day (May 1) in 2025 as follows:

(1) Officials and public employees and employees of administrative agencies, non-business units, political organizations, socio-political organizations (hereafter referred to as officials and public employees) are entitled to the 2025 Lunar New Year holidays from Saturday, January 25, 2025 to the end of Sunday, February 2, 2025. This holiday period includes 5 days of Lunar New Year holidays and 4 weekend days.

(2) Public officials and employees will have the National Day holiday in 2025 from Saturday, August 30, 2025, to the end of Tuesday, September 2, 2025. This holiday period includes 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekend days.

(3) Public officials and employees are rescheduled from Friday, May 2, 2025, to Saturday, April 26, 2025. During the 2025 Victory Day (April 30) and International employees' Day (May 1) holidays, officials and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to the end of Sunday, May 4, 2025 (making up on Saturday, April 26, 2025).

(4) Agencies and units implementing the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day (April 30), and International employees' Day (May 1) holiday schedule should arrange to have essential personnel on duty as required and work reasonably to ensure continuous business operations, serving organizations and the public efficiently. Also, ensure personnel is on standby to handle unforeseen urgent matters arising during the holidays as required.

(5) Agencies, units, and localities should have specific plans and appropriate measures to encourage units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals to actively, proactively implement production, business, economic, and social activities, ensuring stability in supply-demand for goods, services, prices, and markets, contributing to boosting production, business, economic growth, practicing thrift, combating waste, striving to achieve the 2025 goals and tasks, accelerating and breaking through the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025, creating a solid foundation and premise for rapid and sustainable development in the coming time.

(6) Agencies and units not implementing fixed weekly Saturday and Sunday off schedules should base on their specific program and plan to arrange the holiday schedule appropriately, in compliance with the law.

(7) For employees not subject to the provisions of item (1) of this Notification, employers decide the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day (April 30), and International employees' Day (May 1), 2025, as follows:

- For the Lunar New Year holiday: choose 1 day at the end of the year of the Dragon and 4 days at the beginning of the year of the Snake, or 2 days at the end of the year of the Dragon and 3 days at the beginning of the year of the Snake, or 3 days at the end of the year of the Dragon and 2 days at the beginning of the year of the Snake.

- For the National Day holiday: Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and choose 1 of the 2 days: Monday, September 1, 2025, or Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

- Notify employees of the Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday 2025 schedules at least 30 days in advance before implementation.

- If the weekly day off coincides with a holiday stipulated in item (1), Article 112 of the Labor Code, the employee is entitled to the next working day off according to the provision in item (3), Article 111 of the Labor Code.

- Employers are encouraged to apply the same Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day (April 30), and International employees' Day (May 1) holiday schedules for employees as those for officials and public employees.

(8) Other holiday periods are in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code.
