Recently, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment officially issued Circular No. 43/2014/TT-BTNMT on regulations regarding training in environmental protection practices for petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas business.

The validity period of the Certificate of training in environmental protection in the petroleum business and liquefied petroleum gas issued by state agencies before September 15, 2014, is stipulated in Circular 43/2014/TT-BTNMT as follows:

- For Certificates issued with a validity period: They are valid until the end of their validity period. When the validity period expires, the certificate holder must participate in environmental protection training to be considered for a new certificate issuance under the provisions of Circular 43;- For Certificates issued without a validity period: They are valid for five (05) years from the date of issuance. When the usage reaches five (05) years from the issuance date, the certificate holder must participate in environmental protection training to be considered for a new certificate issuance according to this Circular.

From September 15, 2014, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is the competent authority to train, consider, and grant environmental protection training certificates in the petroleum business and liquefied petroleum gas according to the provisions of Circular 43.
