No import tax quota applies to salt and poultry eggs originating from ASEAN in Vietnam

This is notable content in Circular 04/2018/TT-BCT regulating the non-application of tariff quotas on the importation of salt and poultry eggs originating from ASEAN countries in Vietnam.

According to the new regulations, salt and poultry eggs originating from ASEAN countries in Vietnam will not be subject to import tariff quotas from May 17, 2018, and must meet the following conditions:

- Comply with the regulations on the origin of goods in the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement;

- Have a Certificate of Origin Form D as prescribed.

The commodity codes for salt and poultry eggs are specified in Circular 04 as follows:

Note: The importation of salt and poultry eggs from ASEAN countries is not subject to the regulations on the declaration of tariff quota quantities and the principles governing the annual tariff quota for salt and poultry eggs.
