New Standards for the Position of Deputy Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam

Deputy Directors of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam; the Departments of Culture and Sports of Vietnam; and the Departments of Tourism under the People's Committee of the provinces or central-affiliated cities (hereinafter referred to as Deputy Directors of the Departments) is the deputy position of the Directors of the Departments, assisting the Directors in directing several aspects of work and taking responsibility before the Director and the law for the assigned tasks.

In addition to general standards, the position of Deputy Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism must meet specific standards stipulated in Article 9 of Circular 09/2019/TT-BVHTTDL as follows:

First: Regarding capacity

- Have the ability to summarize practical experience, participate in research, develop policies and legal documents on culture, family, sports, and tourism; have the ability to advise, propose solutions, management methods on culture, family, sports, and tourism to serve the state management activities of the provincial People's Committee; have the ability to effectively handle existing constraints, new issues related to the assigned field, and specialized tasks.

- Have the ability to coordinate with various levels, sectors, localities, and other agencies to fulfill assigned tasks.

Second: Regarding work experience in the industry

- Have at least 03 (three) years of work experience in the field of culture, sports, and tourism, including at least 02 (two) years in leadership and management positions in the specialized field assigned from the position of deputy head of department or equivalent.

Third: Planned position as Deputy Director of the Department or equivalent.
