New Regulations on the Scope of Document Service by the Bailiff Office

According to the current legal provisions, a Bailiff is a person who meets the standards, is appointed, and empowered by the State to perform tasks as stipulated in Decree 61/2009/ND-CP on the organization and operation of Bailiffs piloting in some centrally governed cities and related laws.

Clause 6, Article 1 of Decree 135/2013/ND-CP amending and supplementing Article 21 of Decree 61/2009/ND-CP stipulates that the Bailiff's Office has the right to agree to deliver documents of the Court and Civil Judgment Enforcement agencies at all levels within the province or centrally governed city where the Bailiff's Office is located, including: Notices, summonses, invitations, decisions to bring a case to trial, judgments, decisions in absentia cases of the Court; decisions on enforcement, notices, and summonses of the Civil Judgment Enforcement agencies. If necessary, based on the request of the Court and Civil Judgment Enforcement agencies, the Bailiff's Office can agree to deliver other types of documents and papers.

Additionally, the Bailiff has the right to deliver documents of the Court and Civil Judgment Enforcement agencies outside the province or centrally governed city where the Bailiff's Office is located.
