New Regulations on the Organization and Construction of Physical Education Courses at the University Level

Circular 25/2015/TT-BGDDT Regulations on the Physical Education curriculum under undergraduate training programs issued by the Minister of Education and Training on October 14, 2015.

According to Circular 25/2015/TT-BGDDT, regulations regarding the curriculum for Physical Education are to provide basic knowledge and motor skills, establish routine exercise habits, improve health, physical fitness, stature, perfect character, enhance learning abilities, and social activity skills with a positive attitude and contribute to the achievement of comprehensive educational goals.

Article 5 stipulates the organization and development of the Physical Education curriculum must comply with the following regulations:

- Directors of universities, academies; Presidents of universities (hereinafter referred to collectively as Heads of higher education institutions) decide the number of participating members and issue a decision to establish a drafting committee for the Physical Education curriculum (hereinafter referred to as the Drafting Committee). The composition of the Drafting Committee includes individuals knowledgeable about physical education and capable of developing the curriculum, consisting of: some physical education lecturers; representatives of the physical education department or subject; representatives from the training department and some scientists, educational experts in physical education and sports both within and outside the training institution.

- The Drafting Committee has the following tasks:

- Based on current physical education regulations, establish overall and specific objectives for each module; determine the structure, develop modules for the Physical Education curriculum, including mandatory and elective modules; evaluation methods;- Design detailed outlines for each module; determine theoretical and practical requirements for each module; establish quality and safety conditions for both learners and teachers during the implementation of the modules;- Organize seminars to collect opinions on the Physical Education curriculum;- Complete the draft Physical Education curriculum based on feedback and submit it to the scientific and training council of the training institution for review and assessment procedures.
