New Regulations on the Insignia and Symbols of the Vietnam Coast Guard

This content is detailed in Decree 61/2019/ND-CP stipulating specific articles and measures for the implementation of the Vietnam Coast Guard Law.

According to the provisions of Article 13 of Decree 61/2019/ND-CP, the insignia and symbol of the Vietnam Coast Guard must meet the following requirements:

Firstly, the insignia of the Vietnam Coast Guard:

- Background, insignia shape to be worn on the collar:

- The insignia background is a blue parallelogram shape, with the insignia of the Vietnam Coast Guard in yellow; the insignia background for general ranks has a yellow border 5 mm wide on three sides;- The insignia of the Vietnam Coast Guard is yellow, shield-shaped, with two crossed swords behind, inside has an anchor shape, below has a yellow rice ear shape, above has a yellow five-pointed star.

- The yellow pine branch to be worn on the ceremonial uniform collar and on both sides of the rank badges:

- Single pine branch for officers of general ranks;- Single pine branch for officers of colonel and lieutenant ranks.

Secondly, the symbol of the Vietnam Coast Guard:

- The symbol of the Vietnam Coast Guard is worn on the chest, with a wave-shaped design, in the middle is a shield, sea-blue background with a yellow edge, two crossed swords behind, inside has a yellow anchor, and both sides of the wave shape are dark blue.
