New Regulations on the Colors of Ships and Boats of the Vietnam Coast Guard

As prescribed in Article 28 of Decree 61/2019/ND-CP, for each ship, boat, and patrol boat, the Vietnam Coast Guard shall have different color regulations as follows:

Firstly, for search and rescue ships:

- The hull is painted orange, the deck is painted green, the front mark shows the ship's identification number painted in white, and behind the mark is the phrase VIETNAM COAST GUARD in uppercase letters, painted white.- The cabin is painted white, with an orange trim above the cabin, and the phrase VIETNAM COAST GUARD in uppercase letters, painted blue on both sides of the cabin.- The smokestack is painted with a red flag and a yellow star.

Secondly, for patrol ships and other types of ships:

- The hull is painted white, the deck is painted green, the front mark shows the ship's identification number painted blue, and behind the mark is the phrase VIETNAM COAST GUARD in uppercase letters, painted blue.- The cabin is painted white, and the phrase VIETNAM COAST GUARD in uppercase letters, painted blue on both sides of the cabin.- The smokestack is painted with a red flag and a yellow star.- The gun turret is painted ash gray.

Thirdly, for patrol boats:

- The hull is painted white, the front mark shows the boat's identification number painted blue, and behind the mark, the phrase VIETNAM COAST GUARD in uppercase letters, painted blue in separate lines.- The cabin is painted white.

The Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard shall specifically regulate the size of the number one mark, the Vietnam Coast Guard insignia, the phrases VIETNAM COAST GUARD, and the red flag with a yellow star on the smokestack in accordance with each type of ship and patrol boat of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
