New Regulations on Markers and Forest Demarcation Boards in the Field

Circular No. 31/2018/TT-BNNPTNT was promulgated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, stipulating the demarcation of forest boundaries. This document replaces Decision No. 3031/1997/QD-BNNPTNT.

According to the provisions of Circular 31, markers, and boards used to delineate forests in the field are stipulated as follows:

Provisions on Markers

- The marker is made of reinforced concrete, ensuring sustainability and sturdiness, with a rectangular cross-section. Marker dimensions: height 100 cm, width 30 cm, thickness 12 cm, with a base for planting the marker.- The marker indicates the forest owner's name, forest type, and marker number. The marker's above-ground part is painted white, and the digits are inscribed on the side of the marker, 3 cm from its top. The letters are capitalized, uniform in shape, with a letter size of 3 cm in height and 2 cm in width, painted in red.

Provisions on Boards

- The board is made of reinforced concrete, ensuring sustainability and sturdiness, with dimensions of height 100 cm, width 150 cm, thickness 5 cm.- The left side of the board depicts the forest map, while the right side records the forest name and the content requirements for forest management and protection.

Note: For places where markers and boards differ from the above provisions, the old markers and boards may continue to be used.
