New Procedures for Reissuing Airport Security Control Cards

In 2017, Circular 45/2017/TT-BGTVT was signed and promulgated by the Ministry of Transport to amend and supplement Circular 01/2016/TT-BGTVT, detailing the aviation security program and the quality control of aviation security in Vietnam.

According to Circular 45/2017/TT-BGTVT, the re-issuance of long-term usage airport security control cards by the Airport Authority is executed as follows:

- Within 7 working days from the day of receiving the complete application, if the subject and conditions for issuing the card meet the regulations, the Airport Authority shall issue the card;- Within 3 working days from the day of receiving the complete application, if the subject and conditions for issuing the card do not meet the regulations, the Airport Authority shall notify the requesting agency in writing of the non-issuance and state the reasons;- Within 3 working days from the day of receiving the application, if the application is incomplete or contains unclear content, the Airport Authority shall request additional information or documentation via an official dispatch or require the requesting agency to directly clarify the issue.
