New Guidelines on the Dossier for the Proposal of Dismissal and Removal of Vietnam Coast Guard Officers

Recently, the Minister of National Defense signed and promulgated Circular 177/2019/TT-BQP stipulating standards, conditions, order, procedures for appointment, dismissal, removal, and the form of Certificates for Marine Police Officers and Reconnaissance Officers of the Vietnam Marine Police.

Dismissal and removal of Police Officers and Investigators of the Vietnam Coast Guard is decided by the Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard according to the procedures specified in Clause 1, Article 24 Circular 177/2019/TT-BQP.

The dossier for proposing the dismissal and removal of Police Officers and Investigators of the Vietnam Coast Guard includes the following documents:

- Official Dispatch from the Coast Guard agency or unit proposing the dismissal and removal of Police Officers and Investigators of the Vietnam Coast Guard;- Evaluation report of the work process of the agency or unit towards the individual proposed for dismissal and removal;- List of officers proposed for dismissal and removal as Police Officers and Investigators of the Vietnam Coast Guard;- Curriculum vitae (excerpt 63) of the officer proposed for dismissal and removal, with a 4 cm x 6 cm portrait photo attached, excerpted by the personnel department;- Original certificate of Police Officer or Investigator of the Vietnam Coast Guard;- Copy of the appointment decision of Police Officer or Investigator of the Vietnam Coast Guard;- Copy of the disciplinary decision, retirement decision, transfer decision (if any);- Other documents as requested by the Selection Council;- Do not make dossiers for dismissal in cases of automatic dismissal stipulated in Clauses 2 and 3 of Article 16 of this Circular.

The deadline for submitting dossiers and official dispatches proposing dismissal and removal is divided into 2 periods:

- Period 1: submit before March 5 every year;

- Period 2: submit before September 5 every year.
