New: Each regional parent university in Vietnam may self-decide its admission method(s)

According to Circular No. 10/2020/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, from June 29, 2020, each regional parent university may self-decide its admission method(s) and shall take responsibility for its own admission process while acting as the body in charge of the admission process of all of its member units and affiliates. Depending on the society’s demand and resources of the whole regional parent university, the regional parent university shall direct, provide guidelines for, compile and report the admission quota of its member units and affiliates to the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.

Upon meeting all conditions from the Ministry of Education and Training, a regional parent university may decide to allow a member unit or an affiliate that fails to meet the conditions for autonomous provision of a new training program to provide a new undergraduate, graduate or doctorate program or cooperate with another country in providing such program in compliance with regulations in Point e Clause 1 Article 13 of Decree No. 99/2019/ND-CP and in consistence with the regional parent university’s annual plans and development plans/strategies.

Member universities of a regional parent university may independently decide to provide a new undergraduate, graduate or doctorate program or cooperate with another country in providing such program in compliance with regulations in Point e Clause 1 Article 13 of Decree No. 99/2019/ND-CP and in consistence with the regional parent university’s annual plans and development plans/strategies.
