Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has issued the Decision No. 32/2020/QĐ-TTg on amendments to Decision No. 15/2020/QĐ-TTg on implementation of remediating policies for people facing difficulties due to Covid-19 epidemic.
According to Clause 1 Article 1 of the Decision No. 32/2020/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, amending Clause 3 Article 1 of the Decision No. 15/2020/QĐ-TTg, eligibility for employees to receive assistance due to Covid-19 is as follows:
Working in enterprises, private education institutions or public education institutions guaranteeing recurrent expenditure for kindergarten, preschool, primary, lower secondary, upper secondary education level (hereinafter referred to as “education institutions”) that do not generate revenues or do not have financial resources to pay salaries (after utilizing backup salary funds, taxed revenues and other legal financial resources of enterprises and education institutions) due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Thus, a worker will be eligible for assistance if the following conditions are fully satisfied:
1. The duration of contract suspension or unpaid leave during the effective period of the employment contract is at least 01 consecutive month during the period from April 01 to June 30, 2020 and the suspension or unpaid leave begins during the period from April 01 to June 01, 2020.
2. He/she is participating in social insurance right before the beginning date of suspension or unpaid leave.
3. Working in enterprises, private education institutions or public education institutions guaranteeing recurrent expenditure for kindergarten, preschool, primary, lower secondary, upper secondary education level (hereinafter referred to as “education institutions”) that do not generate revenues or do not have financial resources to pay salaries (after utilizing backup salary funds, taxed revenues and other legal financial resources of enterprises and education institutions) due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
