National Statistical Report Content

Decree 60/2018/ND-CP issued by the Government of Vietnam on April 20, 2018, detailing the contents of national statistical reports. To be specific:

The national-level statistical reporting regime includes a list of report templates, report templates, and explanations of the report templates applicable to each ministry and central authority.

Reporting Unit

- The reporting unit is specifically indicated in the top right corner of each statistical form.- The agency under the ministries and central authorities compiles data related to the sectors and fields that the respective ministries and central authorities are responsible for state management.

Report Recipient Unit

- The report recipient unit is the General Statistics Office, specifically indicated in the top right of each form, below the reporting unit line.

Template Symbol

- The template symbol consists of two parts: the number part and the letter part; the number part is sequentially numbered 001, 002, 003,...; the letter part is abbreviated according to the respective sector or field and reporting period (year - N; quarter - Q; month - T; mixed - H); the symbol BCB (Ministry Report) represents the comprehensive statistical reporting system applied to ministries and central authorities.

Reporting Period

The statistical reporting period is a certain duration during which the reporting unit must present activity results with data according to statistical criteria in the report templates. The reporting period is shown in the middle part of each statistical form (after the report name). The reporting period is based on the Gregorian calendar, including:

- Monthly statistical report: The monthly statistical report is calculated from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month.- Quarterly statistical report: The quarterly statistical report is calculated from the 1st day of the first month of the reporting period to the last day of the third month of that reporting period.- Semi-annual statistical report: The semi-annual statistical report is calculated from January 1 to June 30.- Annual statistical report: The annual statistical report is calculated from January 1 to December 31. For the education sector, the annual report is based on the academic year.- Ad-hoc report: Statistical report in case of sudden events or phenomena: natural disasters...

Reporting Deadline

- The report reception date is specifically indicated in the top left corner of each statistical form.

Economic Sectors, Economic Types, List of Administrative Units

- The national economic sectors, economic types, and the list of administrative units in Vietnam used in the national statistical reporting policies follow current regulations.

Reporting Method

Statistical reports are submitted in 2 forms:

- Paper (documents)- Via the electronic reporting policy software system.

The paper report must have the signature and seal of the unit chief to facilitate the verification, comparison, and processing of data.
