More preferential regimes for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers from July 01, 2021

According to Article 18 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment given to people with meritorious services to the revolution 2020 of Vietnam, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers are entitled to 06 preferential regimes as follows:

- The preferential regime for relatives of martyrs specified in Clause 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 Article 16 of this Ordinance;

- Monthly allowance equal to 03 times the standard rate; (completely new provision)

- Monthly allowance;

- Allowance for helper for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers living in her family;

- Annual health rehabilitation nursing;

- The State and society donate houses of gratitude or support to improve houses specified at Point e Clause 2 Article 5 of this Ordinance.

According to Point 1 Article 1 of the Decree No. 58/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government on level of allowances and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services to the revolution, the standard level for determining allowances and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services to the revolution is VND 1.624.000. Thus, from July 01, 2021, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers shall receive a monthly allowance of VND 4.872.000. This is a preferential regime for Heroic Vietnamese Mothers added to the Ordinance on preferential treatment given to people with meritorious services to the revolution 2020. In addition, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers also receive an allowance of VND 1.361.000/month.

Note: The monthly allowance for subjects who are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers is a survivorship allowance at the rate of survivorship allowance for martyrs' relatives (According to Appendix I issued together with the Decree No. 58/2019/NĐ-CP).
