What are the regulations on monthly allowance and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services from July 1, 2023 in Vietnam? - Duc Tin (Quang Tri)
On July 21, 2023, the Government issued Decree 55/2023/ND-CP, amending Decree 75/2021/ND-CP, regulating the levels of benefits, allowances, and preferential regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Regulations on allowances and preferential allowances in Article 4 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP, amended by Clause 3, Article 1 of Decree 55/2023/ND-CP are amended as follows:
- Monthly allowances and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution are specified in Appendix I, issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP.
- Preferential monthly allowance levels for war invalids and policy beneficiaries like war invalids are specified in Appendix II, issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP.
- The level of monthly preferential benefits for war invalids of type B is specified in Appendix III, issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP.
- The one-time preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution is specified in Appendix IV, issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP.
In case the one-time allowance is calculated based on seniority, after rounding the number of years participating in the resistance war and there are still odd months, the odd number of months will be rounded according to the principle: from 6 months to less than 12 months is considered 1 year, and less than 6 months is considered 6 months.
In case the date and month of starting resistance activities cannot be determined, it will be counted from July 1 of that year.
