Minimum Volume of Knowledge for Water Supply and Drainage Department at intermediate level in Vietnam is 1,550 Hours (Illustrative image)
To be specific, Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that Water Supply and Drainage at intermediate level is a profession specializing in operating, managing, maintaining, and repairing water supply and drainage systems for civil projects, urban areas, and industrial zones throughout society's life and production, to meet Level 4 requirements in Vietnam's National Qualifications Framework. The minimum knowledge volume in Vietnam is 1,550 hours (equivalent to 50 credits), including the following knowledge:
- Presenting concepts, tasks, structure, utility, and classification of pipeline apparatus in projects;
- Reading schematics of water supply systems, drainage systems, and related documents;
- Describing methods of installation and operation of basic water supply and drainage pipeline systems suitable with current technology;
- Presenting basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as prescribed.
Additionally, key tasks of the Water Supply and Drainage profession in Vietnam include: Preparation work; Management, maintenance, and repair of water collection projects; Operation, management, repair, and maintenance of water supply pump stations; Operation, management, maintenance, and repair of water treatment stations; Management, repair, and maintenance of water supply pipeline systems.
