Minimum skills required for the "Forging, Stamping" intermediate level

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of mechanical engineering.

In the regulations on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that students must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels of the forging and stamping profession, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the following minimum skills are required for students graduating from the intermediate level of the forging and stamping profession:

- Draw and read simple forging and stamping drawings;

- Operate and proficiently use various types of furnaces, hammers, hot stamping machines, and cold stamping machines;

- Select and use various tools of the profession such as anvils, hand hammers, sledgehammers, irons, shrink tables, forging dies, etc.;

- Sketch the technology process of free forging, bulk stamping, and sheet stamping;

- Mount various forging and stamping dies on machines ensuring requirements are met;

- Apply basic forging and stamping technologies such as drawing, shearing, pinching, cutting, bending, etc., to manufacture products of simple shapes using hand tools or machines;

- Process products of relatively complex shapes, medium, and small sizes using die stamping on rigid press machines;

- Operate sheet stamping machines or sheet stamping lines to manufacture products with high accuracy;

- Choose methods and operate sandblasting machines, shot blasting machines, ball burnishing machines, as well as chemicals to clean forging and stamping products;

- Select methods of annealing, quenching, tempering, blackening for heat treatment and finishing of forged and stamped products;

- Use measurement tools to check the quality of forged and stamped products;

- Organize and implement industrial hygiene, fire and explosion prevention, and ensure labor safety for people and equipment;

- Utilize basic information technology as regulated; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional work of the profession;

- Use basic foreign languages, reaching level 1/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework; apply foreign languages to the professional work of the profession.
