Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in mechanical engineering fields.
Minimum Skill Requirements After Graduation from Vocational Training in Welding - Illustrative Image
According to the regulations on minimum academic knowledge and the competencies that learners must achieve after graduation from intermediate and college levels in welding, issued alongside Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level in welding are as follows:
- Ability to read welding material symbols, weld symbols, welding positions in drawings;- Ability to fabricate welding workpieces according to technical drawing requirements using hand gas cutters and turtle gas cutting machines;- Ability to assemble welded structures in different positions according to technical requirements;- Ability to connect, operate, and adjust welding policies on welding equipment such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, etc.;- Ability to weld joints using SMAW from simple to complex structures of common carbon steels such that the welds meet the technical drawing requirements;- Ability to weld joints using GMAW in positions from 1F to 3F and from 1G to 3G, ensuring technical requirements;- Basic ability to weld joints using GTAW;- Ability to repair some defective welds, identify causes, and propose preventive and corrective measures;- Ability to maintain equipment, tools, and prevent fires and explosions related to welding;- Ability to organize and implement labor safety measures and industrial hygiene and fire prevention;- Ability to handle emergency situations to rescue accident victims at construction sites;- Ability to apply environmental protection measures, efficient use of energy and resources;- Ability to use basic information technology according to regulations, exploit, process, and apply information technology in professional tasks related to the profession;- Ability to use basic foreign languages, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnam's linguistic competence framework; ability to apply foreign languages in professional tasks related to the profession.
