Minimum Required Knowledge for the Field of Mechatronics (College Level)

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications.

In the Regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate, college level of the electromechanical industry and profession issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTTBXH, the minimum knowledge required to be achieved after graduating from the college level of the electromechanical industry is specified as follows:

- State the regulations and standards on technical drawings of the profession;

- Describe the principles and regulations of labor safety and the industrial environment;

- Analyze the specifications and properties of materials in the industry and profession;

- Describe the basic content of tolerance measurements, technical drawing, manufacturing technology in mechanics, principle of mechanical detail, CAD/CAM/CNC technology;

- Describe various types of energy transmission in industry: pneumatic, hydraulic, electric drive transmission, various forms of renewable energy;

- Describe the knowledge of electricity-electronics: electrical techniques, electronics, electric drive control, measurement sensors, power electronics; control techniques: relay control, PLC control, microcontroller, industrial robots, CNC programmable machines; simulation and computation: Autocad, Inventor, Win CC, SCADA, Robotino View, etc.;

- Describe basic knowledge of electromechanical systems, flexible manufacturing system (MPS), process control systems (PCS), communication networks;

- Explain and resolve issues within the field of electromechanical systems or types of electromechanical products; consult on design, technology transfer; methods of exploitation and practical application of modern production technologies;

- Describe planning methods, implementation organization, monitoring, and evaluation of actual industrial production processes and the technical-technological-economic relationships between production stages in industrial production;

- Provide basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as regulated.
