Minimum maintained illuminance for facilities for drop forging, welding, cold forming in Vietnam must be 300 Em

This is a notable content regulated in Circular 22/2016/TT-BYT stipulating the National technical regulation on lighting - Permissible levels of lighting in the workplace in Vietnam

Circular 22/2016/TT-BYT stipulates that at facilities for drop forging, welding, cold forming, there must be a minimum maintained illuminance of 300 Lux. Additionally, for other facilities for metal working and processing in Vietnam, the minimum maintained illuminance is regulated as follows:

Machining with thickness ≥ 5 mm 200
Sheet metal machining with thickness < 5 mm 300
Manufacturing tools and cutting equipment 750
Assembly of components:  
- Rough 200
- Medium 300
- Fine 500
- Precision 750
Galvanising 300
Surface treatment and painting 750
Manufacturing tools, molds, jigs, precision and micro-mechanics 1000
