Minimum Knowledge Requirements for the Medical Imaging Equipment Engineering at the College Level

On December 28, 2018, Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements to be achieved by learners after graduation at the intermediate and college levels in health and social service fields, issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.

Minimum Knowledge Required in Diagnostic Imaging Technology at College Level - Illustrative Image

According to the Regulation on the minimum amount of knowledge, and competency requirements students must achieve upon graduating from the intermediate level, and college level in the fields of diagnostic imaging technology as issued under Circular No. 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge students must achieve upon graduating from the college level in diagnostic imaging technology is as follows:

- Explaining the structural characteristics of diagnostic imaging equipment such as: conventional X-ray machines, digital X-ray machines, C-Arm X-ray machines, angiography machines, CT scanners, film processors, film printers, ultrasound machines;

- Presenting the operating principles of diagnostic imaging equipment;

- Presenting the operational procedures of diagnostic imaging equipment;

- Presenting the maintenance procedures of diagnostic imaging equipment;

- Presenting the methods for repairing certain malfunctions of diagnostic imaging equipment;

- Presenting knowledge in the fields of electricity and electronics such as: electronic components, pulse technology, digital technology, circuit technology, electrical engineering, etc.;

- Describing the structure and use of measuring devices: multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.; tools used for electronic and mechanical repairs, etc.;

- Presenting safety and environmental hygiene regulations in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment;

- Determining the equipment handover procedures and recording work logs;

- Presenting basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as required by regulations.
