Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in mechanical engineering fields.
Minimum Knowledge After Graduating in Welding Technology - Illustrative Image
According to the Regulation on Minimum Knowledge, Competency Requirements for Students After Graduating from Intermediate and College Levels in Welding, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge required after graduating in welding technology at the college level includes:
- Explain welding positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 5G, 6G, 6GR); welding materials symbols, base materials;
- Present principles, structures, and applications of welding methods: SMAW, MAG/MIG, FCAW, SAW, TIG;
- Describe welding defects of SMAW, MAG/MIG, FCAW, SAW, TIG, including causes and preventive measures;
- Analyze methods to calculate welding policies and choose appropriate welding policies;
- Present and explain welding processes, select welding materials, and apply in production practice;
- Explain welding joint symbols and welding methods on technical standard drawings of the profession;
- Analyze the external inspection process of welded joints according to international standards like AWS, ISO...;
- Explain welding materials symbols, base materials;
- Describe measures to reduce welding stress and deformation;
- Organize and implement safety measures for fire prevention, explosion prevention, and first aid in case of accidents;
- Analyze causes of welding defects and preventive measures;
- Analyze basic knowledge about environmental protection, efficient use of energy and resources;
- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as per regulations.
