Article 6 of Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT strictly stipulates the minimum interval between blood donations and the blood components that donors must adhere to. Specifically:

- The minimum interval between two consecutive whole blood or red blood cell apheresis donations is 12 weeks.- The minimum interval between two consecutive plasma or platelet apheresis donations is 02 weeks.- Granulocyte or stem cell apheresis donations from peripheral blood should not exceed three times within 07 days.- In cases where a donor alternates between whole blood donation and donations of different blood components, the minimum interval between donations is considered based on the type of blood component donated in the most recent donation.

Apheresis is understood as a technique for directly collecting one or more blood components from a blood component donor.

Refer to additional regulations in Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT, effective from November 15, 2013.
