Recently, the Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 23/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, which regulates the minimum knowledge requirements and competency standards that learners must achieve after graduating from vocational secondary and higher education levels in the fields of manufacturing, processing, and agriculture.

Minimum Conditions for Graduation from Intermediate Level in Plant Science in Vietnam (Illustrative Image)
The regulations issued along with Circular 23/2019/TT-BLDTBXH stipulate the minimum requirements that students must meet after graduating from the intermediate level in plant science in Vietnam as follows:

- Articulate foundational knowledge in Plant Science such as plant physiology, botany, plant genetics, microbiology, agricultural meteorology, crop varieties, etc.; - Describe the process of crop seed production; - Define the characteristics and usage of different types of fertilizers; - Outline the steps in the technical cultivation procedures of various crop varieties; - Explain measures for plant protection; - Elaborate on the knowledge of harvesting, preliminary processing, and preserving crop products; - Demonstrate basic knowledge regarding the transfer of scientific and technological advancements in agricultural production; - Present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as required. |
- Implement plans, present, and resolve practical issues in production under the guidance of others; - Apply foundational knowledge in Plant Science such as plant physiology, agricultural meteorology, crop varieties, etc., to understand and execute technical measures and production processes; - Perform appropriate methods of breeding and propagating specific crops; - Utilize suitable fertilizers based on soil conditions, climate, and crop varieties; - Follow the correct technical procedures for cultivating various agricultural crops; - Apply biological, physical, and chemical technical measures in plant protection; - Adhere to the correct technical procedures for harvesting, preliminary processing, and preserving agricultural products; - Conduct activities transferring scientific and technological advancements; - Use basic information technology as required; apply information technology in certain professional tasks of the field; - Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in some professional tasks of the field. |
- Exhibit good ethical qualities and a correct understanding of the profession, cooperate with colleagues, and respect laws and workplace regulations; - Demonstrate honesty, a high sense of discipline, and the willingness to undertake assigned tasks; - Maintain a sense of study and skill improvement to enhance professional proficiency; - Work independently in changing work conditions, taking personal responsibility and partial responsibility for group tasks; - Work collaboratively and resolve tasks under the guidance of others. |
