This is the content stipulated in Circular 30/2017/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health on July 11, 2017, guiding the methods of processing traditional medicinal herbs.
According to Circular 30, the purposes of the fire processing method (hoa che) include:
- Changing medicinal properties, creating new effects;- Adding a fragrance to traditional medicines;- Limiting unwanted effects of traditional medicines;- Preserving traditional medicines.
Additionally, Circular 30 also stipulates that the fire processing methods include:
- Roasting method
- Direct roasting without additives;- Direct roasting with additives (Chich);- Indirect roasting.
- Heating method
- Fire-flying method;
- Grilling method.
