This is a notable regulation mentioned in Circular 19/2013/TT-BNNPTNT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding measures for the efficient use of energy in agricultural production.
According to the provisions of Article 6 Circular 19/2013/TT-BNNPTNT, to use energy economically and efficiently in the field of forestry, the following measures can be applied:

1. Forest Development
- Promote regeneration, restoration, and enrichment of forests in planned areas.- Prioritize research, breeding, and dissemination of high-yield forestry species that are resistant to pests and drought.- Flexibly adjust the planting season in accordance with each region;- Increase the rate of greenery in residential areas, urban areas to improve the living environment, regulate the air, increase carbon dioxide (CO2) absorption, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
2. Forest Management
- Implement bush treatment by clearing; chop and pile branches on-site to create natural organic fertilizer enriching forest soil. Limit bush treatment by burning;- Implement forest certification according to sustainable forest management standards.
3. Forest Utilization
- Rationally plan transportation works serving the exploitation.- Select appropriate, energy-saving exploitation and processing technologies that increase the rate of timber utilization in exploitation and processing.- Deploy technology to treat and reuse arising by-products (bushes, sawdust, by-products, etc.) to reduce waste treatment costs and input costs for production and processing.- Develop and apply clean production technology, invest in solar energy equipment in the processing of forestry products.- Thoroughly use natural light and ventilation when designing and constructing factories, production, and processing facilities.
