Maximum Material Value for Promotion per Mobile Information Service Unit

Accordingly, the maximum material value used for promotions for a unit of mobile information services, specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services is regulated by Circular 47 as follows:

- The material value used for promotions for a unit of mobile information services, specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services for prepaid mobile information service subscriptions shall not exceed 20% of the price of the aforementioned unit of mobile information services, specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services before the promotional period.

- The material value used for promotions for a unit of mobile information services, specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services for postpaid mobile information service subscriptions shall not exceed 50% of the price of the aforementioned unit of mobile information services, specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services before the promotional period.

Note that the above provisions do not apply in the following cases:

- Provision of sample mobile information services, provision of specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services for trial by customers without charge;

- Provision of mobile information services, sale of specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services accompanied by competition entries for customers to choose a winner according to the announced rules and prizes;

- Provision of mobile information services, sale of specialized telecommunications goods for mobile information services accompanied by participation in promotional programs of a chance nature;

- Organization of frequent customer programs for mobile information services.
