- Individuals weighing at least 42 kg for women and 45 kg for men are allowed to donate whole blood; individuals weighing between 42 kg and under 45 kg are allowed to donate no more than 250 ml of whole blood each time; individuals weighing 45 kg and above are allowed to donate whole blood no more than 09 ml/kg of body weight and no more than 500 ml each time.- Individuals weighing at least 50 kg are allowed to donate blood components through apheresis; blood donors can donate one or more blood components during each apheresis, but the total volume of donated blood components should not exceed 500 ml; individuals weighing at least 60 kg are permitted to donate a total volume of blood components not exceeding 650 ml each time.- Must not suffer from chronic or acute diseases related to the nervous system, mental health, respiratory, circulatory, urinary, digestive, liver and bile, endocrine system, blood and hematopoietic organs, systemic diseases, autoimmune diseases, severe allergic conditions; must not be pregnant at the time of registration for blood donation (for women); must have no history of removing, donating, or receiving human body parts; must not be addicted to drugs or alcohol; must not have severe or extremely severe disabilities as specified in the Law on Persons with Disabilities; must not use certain medications specified in Appendix 1 issued with Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT; must not suffer from blood-borne diseases or sexually transmitted diseases at the time of registration for blood donation.
