Management and Use of Fees and Charges in the Field of Atomic Energy

On November 15, 2016, the Minister of Finance issued Circular 287/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection policies, remittance, management, and usage of fees and charges in the field of atomic energy.

Circular on Regulations for Collection, Payment, Management, and Use of Fees in the Nuclear Energy Sector

The Circular stipulates the levels of collection, policies for collection, payment, management, and use of fees and charges in the field of nuclear energy, including: Fees for radiation safety assessment and nuclear security; Fees for assessment of conditions for issuing a registration certificate for support services in the application of nuclear energy; Fees for assessment of radiation and nuclear incident response plans; Charges for issuing radiation worker certificates; Charges for issuing service support practice certificates in the application of nuclear energy.

This Circular applies to:

- Organizations and individuals requesting licenses for conducting radiological work; requesting certificates for support service activities in the application of nuclear energy; approving plans for responding to provincial and local radiation and nuclear incidents; issuing certificates for radiation workers and service support practice certificates in the application of nuclear energy;

- Competent authorities responsible for issuing licenses, activity registration certificates, and certificates in the field of nuclear energy, and approving radiation and nuclear incident response plans;

- Other organizations and individuals related to the collection and payment of fees and charges in the field of nuclear energy.

The fees and charges in the field of nuclear energy are implemented according to the Fee Schedule issued together with this Circular.

Circular 287/2016/TT-BTC is effective from January 1, 2017, and replaces Circular No. 76/2010/TT-BTC dated May 17, 2010, of the Minister of Finance.
