List of Study Fields with High Demand for Workforce and High Employment Opportunities Upon Graduation

This is the list of academic disciplines stipulated in Circular 37/2017/TT-BLDTBXH promulgating the list of intermediate-level and college-level training disciplines that are difficult to enroll but are in demand by society.

Currently, there are still many professions facing a severe shortage of human resources due to receiving little attention from the public, even though these are high-demand professions in society. Therefore, if you pursue studies in these fields, the opportunity for employment is very high and you will not need to worry about unemployment after graduation.

These professions are specified in Circular 37/2017/TT-BLDTBXH as follows:

- Art: Wood carving techniques, sculpture

- Performing Arts: Hue classical drama performance, folk singing, cheo, tuong, cai luong, ethnic folk dance, quan ho folk singing; dancers, choreographers; traditional musical instrument performance, Southern amateur music (don ca tai tu Nam Bo), traditional opera musicians, traditional Hue musicians.

- Applied Fine Arts: Lacquer and inlay mother of pearl techniques.

- Mechanical Engineering Technology: Ship hull construction engineering technology.

- Manufacturing Technology: Production of rubber products, rubber latex processing.

- Engineering Geology, Geophysics, and Surveying Technology: Geological engineering technology.

- Mining Engineering Technology: Underground mining, surface mining, tunnel drilling.

- Mechanical Engineering and Metrology: Processing and installing steel structures; forging, stamping; repairing and operating dredge ships; operating pile driving machines and bored pile drilling.

- Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Materials, and Environmental Technology: Industrial wastewater treatment; water supply and drainage.

- Construction Architecture: Bridge and road construction, formwork - scaffolding, rebar - welding, masonry - finishing.

- Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Environmental Protection: Forest rangers, fishery inspectors, industrial environmental protection, waste treatment.

These professions also serve as a basis for local ministries and sectors to develop policies for investment support in vocational education institutions that offer training in difficult-to-recruit fields but have societal demand.
