Library Fee Rates Applicable at the National Library of Vietnam

October 25, 2016, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 162/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection policies, payment, management, and use of library fees applied at the National Library of Vietnam.

According to the provisions of 162/2016/TT-BTC, the library fee rates applied at the National Library of Vietnam include:

- For individuals aged 18 and over: 120,000 VND/card/year;- For retirees or elderly persons according to the provisions of the Law on the Elderly: 50,000 VND/card/year;- For organizations and individuals with infrequent needs: 5,000 VND/person/visit.

Also according to Circular 162, other matters related to collection, remittance, management, use, receipt documentation, and publicizing fee policies not mentioned in Circular 162 are to be implemented in accordance with the Law on Fees and Charges; Decree 120/2016/ND-CP; Circular 156/2013/TT-BTC; and Circulars from the Minister of Finance guiding the printing, issuance, management, and use of fee receipts, charges belonging to the state budget, and documents for amendments and supplements.
