Law on Vietnam Border Guard 2020: 04 basic contents people need to know

First: Organizational system of the Border Guard

The organizational system of the Border Guard includes:

- Border Guard Command;

- Provincial Border Guard Command and units affiliated to the Border Guard Command;

- Border Guard Station, Commanding Committee of the Port Border Guard, Border Guard Squadron.

Second: Equipment of the Border Guard

Border guards are equipped with military and civilian vehicles, weapons, explosives, supporting tools and professional technical means and equipment to perform their functions, tasks and powers.

Note: The Government shall stipulate the management, use and list of professional technical means and equipment of the Border Guard.

Third: Traditional day, international transaction name, seal of the Border Guard

- March 3 every year is the traditional day of the Border Guard, the National Border Guard day.

- The international transaction name of the Vietnam Border Guard is Vietnam Border Guard.

- Border guards use seals with the national emblem in performing their assigned functions, tasks and powers.

Fourth: Uniforms, colors, flags, insignia and vehicle identification signs of the Border Guard

- Military insignia, insignia, ensign, military uniform and vestments of Border Guard officers and soldiers shall be prescribed by the Government of Vietnam.

- Vessels, aircraft, cars and other vehicles of the Border Guard have their own colors, flags, insignia and identification signs according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam. When on duty, ships must fly the national flag of Vietnam and the flag of the Border Guard.
