On February 10, 2019, Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge and requirements for competencies that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields of health and social services, came into effect.

According to the Regulation on the minimum knowledge volume, requirements for competencies that learners achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, issued with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners achieve after graduating from the intermediate technical level in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is specified as follows:
- Explain the principles, rules, operating procedures, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment related to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation;
- Present communication and health education skills, management, organization, implementation, and supervision;
- Present basic medical content such as human anatomy and physiology, pathology, pharmacology, initial emergency care;
- Present the therapeutic effects of Physiotherapy – Rehabilitation methods;
- Describe acupuncture methods and non-drug treatment (traditional medicine) for rehabilitating patients;
- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education according to regulations.
