On June 18, 2020, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court issued Circular 01/2020/TT-TANDTC regulating the resolution of complaints and denunciations in the People's Court.
According to Circular 01/2020/TT-TANDTC, the Chief Justice of the People's Court has the authority to resolve complaints regarding violations by agencies and units under the People's Court; violations by officials or non-officials under their direct management assigned to perform tasks and official duties as stipulated in Article 14 and Article 21 of the Law on Complaints.

In the case of an official or employee on secondment, the authority is determined as follows:
- In the case of complaints about legal violations committed while performing tasks and official duties before secondment, the Chief Justice of the People's Court directly managing the official or employee at the time of the legal violation shall resolve the complaint, and the Chief Justice of the People's Court to where the official or employee is seconded shall coordinate in resolving the complaint;
- In the case of complaints about legal violations committed during the period of work at the People's Court where the official or employee is seconded, the Chief Justice of the People's Court where the official or employee is currently working shall resolve the complaint.
In the case of officials or employees who have transferred to another position and are later found to have committed violations at the previous workplace, the Chief Justice of the People's Court directly managing the official or employee at the time of the legal violation shall resolve the complaint, and the Chief Justice of the People's Court where the official or employee is currently working shall coordinate in resolving the complaint.
