The stages in the production line of construction materials at crushing stations, concrete mixing stations, and certain machinery serving construction works include: conveyor belts, screening machines, cement concrete mixers, cement concrete mixing stations, hoisting machines; production organization and management, meeting the requirements of Level 5 in the National Qualifications Framework of Vietnam.

According to Circular 22/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, practitioners in operating construction machinery are allocated to work at equipment or control centers, operating equipment at stages in the production line with tasks including: Operating equipment, systems such as: crushing, screening devices in the crushing-sieving plant; concrete mixing machines, cement supplying systems, water supplying systems, compressed air supplying systems in the mixing station; operating the station control center, operating hoist machines ensuring compliance with the process, correct technical and labor safety requirements, and organizing production management. The Circular has identified the job positions for the profession after graduation, which include:
- Conveyor operator;- Crusher operator;- Sieve machine operator;- Cement concrete mixer operator;- Cement concrete mixing station operator;- Hoist machine operator;- Construction machinery technical maintenance;- Production organization and management.
Additionally, the Circular also stipulates as follows regarding the capacity to learn and advance in the profession:
- The minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that students must achieve after graduating from the Construction Machinery Operation major at the college level can continue to develop at a higher level;- Graduates have the capacity for self-learning and updating scientific and technological advancements within the industry/profession to enhance their level or to progress to higher education in the same profession or in related fields of study.
To perform construction machinery operations, practitioners need to master and proficiently use tools such as mechanical disassembly kits, electrical trade tool kits, various electrical measuring instruments, some specialized tools, and lifting equipment for maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and machine installation.
