Issuance of the Regulation on implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam

The Regulations on implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam stipulate the principles, content, and methods for implementation of grassroots democracy; the rights and obligations of officials and public employees, and workers in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam (collectively referred to as officials and public employees, and workers) in implementation of grassroots democracy; the organization and activities of the People's Inspection Board; and the responsibility of the head of the agency or grassroots unit to ensure the implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam.

The implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam is carried out according to the provisions of the Law on implementation of grassroots democracy 2022, related regulations, and the Regulations on implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam.

Regarding amendments and supplements to the Regulations on implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam: During the implementation, if there are arising issues that need amendment or supplementation, units and individuals shall report to the Supreme People's Procuracy (through the Inspection of the Supreme People's Procuracy) for guidance or report to the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy for consideration and decision.

Principles of implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam

According to Article 4 of the Regulations on implementation of grassroots democracy in the agencies of Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam, the implementation of grassroots democracy ensures the following principles:

- Ensuring principles stipulated in Article 3 of the Law on implementation of grassroots democracy 2022.

4. Protecting the interests of the State, and the legal rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

5. Ensuring publicity, transparency, and enhancing accountability in the process of implementation of grassroots democracy.

6. Respecting public opinion, promptly resolving proposals, and reflecting public opinions.

- Ensuring principles stipulated in Article 7 of the Law on the Organization of the People's Procuracy 2014.

1. The People's Procuracy is led by the Prosecutor General. The Prosecutor General of the lower-level People's Procuracy is under the leadership of the Prosecutor General of the higher-level People's Procuracy. The Prosecutors General of the lower-level Procuracies are under the unified leadership of the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

The higher-level Procuracy is responsible for inspecting and strictly handling legal violations of the lower-level Procuracy. The Prosecutor General of the higher-level Procuracy has the authority to revoke, suspend, or annul illegal decisions of the Prosecutor General of the lower-level Procuracy.

- Ensuring state secrets as stipulated by law, the regulations of the People's Procuracy sector, and the confidentiality of the People's Procuracy's work.
