On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (Bo Lao Dong - Thuong Binh va Xa Hoi - BLDTBXH) issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate and college levels in the fields of mechanical engineering technology.
Introduction to the “forging, stamping” industry at college level - Illustrative photo
According to the regulation on the minimum amount of knowledge, required competencies that learners must achieve upon graduating from the intermediate level, college level in the “forging, stamping” industry, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, “forging, stamping” at the college level is an industry where practitioners process metals by pressure through the plastic deformation process of the material to obtain products or semi-finished products with desired shapes and sizes, meeting Level 5 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The pressure created during the forging, stamping process can be done manually (manual forging) or by machine (forging stamping equipment - pressure processing equipment); the deformation processing can be carried out in either a cold state (cold stamping) or a hot state (hot forging, hot stamping).
The working environment for forging and stamping practitioners has also been significantly improved compared to before, as all pressure processing factories and workshops have applied technological solutions to minimize the harmful effects of vibrations, noise, and temperatures affecting the health of workers.
However, to practice, workers need to be in good health, have knowledge and thinking about mechanical engineering technology, understand the industry and technological development trends; regularly study, improve their skills, and have a sense of responsibility to operate and process products on modern and advanced forging, stamping equipment to meet societal needs.
Minimum amount of knowledge: 1,800 hours (equivalent to 65 credits).
Note that after graduation, learners have the competencies to meet job requirements in the industry, including:
- Forging with hand tools;- Free forging by machine;- Bulk stamping;- Sheet stamping.
Details of the regulations can be found at Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, effective from February 10, 2019.
