Effective from February 10, 2019, Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) stipulates the minimum knowledge requirements and competencies that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields pertaining to health and social services.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduation at the intermediate level and college level in the field of technical equipment for pharmaceutical production issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, technical equipment for pharmaceutical production is a profession that performs the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment that creates pharmaceutical products; operates machinery to produce medicine; engages in the business of pharmaceutical production equipment; advises, supervises the purchase, installation, or utilization of pharmaceutical production equipment; manages the exploitation, preservation, and monitoring of the operation of pharmaceutical production equipment, meeting the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

Specialists in Technical Equipment for Pharmaceutical Production work at pharmaceutical production companies, enterprises producing and selling pharmaceutical equipment, hospitals with pharmaceutical formulation tasks; companies producing functional foods, cosmetics; veterinary drugs, etc.

When performing tasks such as installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing pharmaceutical production equipment, workers often operate in highly clean environments with significant electrical safety risks. Thus, they need to strictly and fully comply with labor protection, industrial hygiene policies, and effectively implement electrical safety principles.

Additionally, the minimum volume of knowledge required is 1,700 hours (equivalent to 60 credits).
