On August 15, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 4337/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV with instructions for organizing "Citizen-Student Activity Week" in training facilities for the 2023–2024 school year.
Specifically, training institutions need to implement the following contents in the "Civic-Student Activities Week" of the 2023–2024 school year, including:
- Thoroughly grasp the basic contents and new points in the documents of the Sixth Conference; results of the 7th Conference (mid-term conference) of the 13th Party Central Committee according to the guidance of the Central Propaganda Committee on research, study, thorough understanding, propaganda, and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Party Central Committee.
- Thoroughly grasp the basic contents of the Party's Resolutions and Directives related to political and ideological education for students, especially Resolution 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation.
- Thoroughly grasp and study the whole course's thematic activities and the content of 2023 thematic activities on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style associated with implementing the school's political tasks; educating students to practice political courage, steadfast revolutionary ideals, and a sense of responsibility towards themselves, family, and society.
- Propaganda about protecting sovereignty over seas and islands and Vietnam's maritime strategy.
- Information on outstanding domestic and international current affairs, economics, politics, and society in the first six months of 2023.
- Disseminate and educate on legal regulations to raise awareness among students about human rights, civil rights, rights, and interests as prescribed in the Constitution 2013; Education Law 2019, Higher Education Law 2012; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education 2018; and other related documents.
- Disseminate and educate the provisions of law to raise students' awareness and sense of law observance as stipulated in the Penal Code 2015; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Penal Code in 2015; Law on Road, Railway, and Inland Waterway Traffic; Law on Cyber Security; Youth Law 2020; Law on Drug Prevention and Control 2021; Law on Tobacco Harm Prevention; Law on Consumer Rights Protection 2010; Law on Intellectual property; Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking; Law on Prevention and Combat of Corruption and other related documents
Equipping students with necessary knowledge when enrolling includes: legal documents regulating the rights and obligations of students; documents regulating student policies; regulations and regulations on training, student affairs, union and association work, and school counseling; work to ensure security, order, and school safety; school social work; and the rules, regulations, and key tasks of the school.
- Introducing majors, professions, training programs, and school counseling for students; Guide students to participate in clubs, activities, cultural and art programs, community and social activities, and programs and activities of training institutions.
- Instructions on effective university study methods; integration skills in new environments; innovation and entrepreneurship skills; and scientific research.
- Organizing activities for students to compete, study, and practice; arouse dreams, ambitions, will, and aspirations to establish oneself and establish a career.
- Traditional education, professional ethics; vocational and employment skills; innovative entrepreneurship skills; teamwork skills, time management skills, problem-solving skills, developing cognitive skills, social skills, emotional management, and resume writing skills.
- Education to prevent and combat corruption; equip students with knowledge and skills for international integration.
- Other topics according to the school's plans and practices.
