1. Self-assessment

Preschools and general education establishments (elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, high schools with many levels) carry out self-assessment according to Circular 17/2018/TT-BGDĐT, Circular 18/2018/TT-BGDĐT và Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDĐT promulgating regulations on educational quality assessment and recognition of national standardsor elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, high schools with many levels, and preschools; Documents 5932/BGDĐT-QLCL, 5942/BGDĐT-QLCL  2018 of the Ministry of Education and Training on self-assessment and assessment instructions outside general education establishments and preschools.

The Department of Education and Training of districts and Thu Duc city directs preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools in the area to carry out annual self-assessments in accordance with the process according to the guiding documents of the Ministry of Education and Training; Support private educational institutions to conduct self-assessment and register for external assessment if eligible; provide a summary report on educational quality accreditation and the construction of national standard schools to the Department of Education and Training before April 29, 2024.

High schools, multi-level schools, and preschools under the Department of Education and Training carry out self-assessment on a yearly basis and report the results of self-assessment and the results of implementing the quality improvement plan to the Department of Education and Training before April 15, 2024.

2. External assessment work

All educational institutions that are qualified for external assessment or have been recognized to meet educational quality accreditation or national standards but have expired for 5 years must register for external assessment in the 2023–2024 school year to be recognized as meeting educational quality accreditation or national standards.

Preschools, primary schools, and junior high schools send external evaluation registration documents to the Department of Education and Training to censor the content and summarize the registration to send to the Department of Education and Training.

High schools, multi-level high schools, and preschools under the Department of Education and Training register for external evaluation in the 2023 - 2024 school year. Send the application to Ms. Nguyen Xuan Mai - Deputy Head of the Department of Testing and Educational Quality Accreditation - Department of Education and Training, from the 1st to the 5th of every month.

Educational institutions that register for external assessment must comply with the registration form available on the website of the Department of Education and Training - Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance. In the registration form, it is necessary to clearly state that the external assessment only recognizes the achievement of educational quality accreditation, only recognizes the achievement of national standards, or simultaneously recognizes the achievement of educational quality accreditation and national standards; Write down the exact school address and contact information when necessary.

3. Providing professional training for managers and teachers working to ensure educational quality

The Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance coordinated with the Department of Preschool Education, the Department of Primary Education, and the Department of Secondary Education to organize training in self-assessment skills for leaders and specialists of the Department of Education and Training, leaders of high schools, multi-level high schools, and preschools under the Department.

The Department of Education and Training of districts and Thu Duc City organizes self-assessment training for preschools, elementary schools, and junior high schools under its management.

For each external assessment, the Department of Educational Testing and Accreditation organizes training on external assessment skills for officials and teachers participating in the delegation.
