Instruction on Technical Safety Inspection of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Tanks

Circular 10/2017/TT-BCT has been issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding 18 technical safety inspection procedures for machines, equipment, and materials that require stringent labor safety standards.

To be specific:, Circular 10 stipulates that during the inspection of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks, the inspection organization must follow these steps:

- Review the records and history of the LPG storage tank.- Conduct external and internal technical inspections.- Perform hydrostatic testing.- Perform leak testing.- Conduct operational checks.- Process the inspection results.

Additionally, when conducting the inspection, the following conditions must be ensured:

- The LPG storage tank must be in a state ready for inspection.- The documents and records of the equipment must be complete.- Environmental and weather factors must not affect the inspection results.- Occupational safety and hygiene conditions must be met for the inspection of the LPG storage tank.
