Article 10 of Circular 51/2012/TT-BGDDT stipulates that the internal inspection team at universities, academies, scientific research institutes with doctoral training capabilities, universities, colleges, and professional secondary schools are established under the decision of the Principal. The internal inspection team includes the Chief Inspector, Deputy Chief Inspector (if necessary), and inspection team members. The duties, powers, and responsibilities of the inspection team members in Vietnam are as follows:
- Perform tasks assigned by the Chief Inspector, report to the Chief Inspector on the plan to carry out assigned tasks;
- Request the inspected subjects to provide information, documents, written reports, and explanations on issues related to the inspection content; request agencies, organizations, and individuals within the school to provide information and documents related to the inspection content;
- Propose the Chief Inspector apply measures within the duties and powers of the Chief Inspector to ensure the implementation of the assigned tasks; propose handling issues related to the inspection content;
- Report the results of the assigned tasks to the Chief Inspector, be responsible before the law and the Chief Inspector for the accuracy, truthfulness, and objectivity of the reported content;
- Participate in compiling the inspection result report;
- Perform other tasks related to the inspection as assigned by the Chief Inspector.
For specialized inspectors conducting independent inspections, the responsibilities are similar to that of the Chief Inspector.
