Inspection, commissioning, and handover of administrative maps at all levels in Vietnam (Internet image)

Article 32 of Circular 47/2014/TT-BTNMT stipulates the inspection and commissioning of administrative maps at all levels in Vietnam as follows:

1. The quality inspection and acceptance of administrative map products at all levels shall be conducted in accordance with Circular 02/2007/TT-BTNMT dated February 12, 2007, issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, which provides guidelines for the inspection, appraisal, and acceptance of surveying and mapping projects and products.

2. Contents of the inspection and acceptance of products

The inspection and acceptance of administrative map products at all levels shall be carried out for each type of product work as follows:

- Inspection and acceptance of the author's digital version;- Inspection and acceptance of the author's paper version.

Article 33 of Circular 47/2014/TT-BTNMT stipulates the submission of products and packaging of administrative maps at all levels in Vietnam as follows:

- Regarding submission of products

The author's digital version accompanied by standard files;

The author's paper version confirmed by the investor, the inspection unit at the investor’s level, and the executing unit;

Files for the inspection and acceptance of products at the construction unit level and the investor’s level.

- Regarding packaging specifications

The author's digital data and standard files are recorded on CD-ROM or DVD; the discs must be of high quality and only recordable once; each disc must contain the following files: source directory, symbol library, layer classification regulations utilized;

Information on the cover and label of the CD-ROM or DVD includes: disc serial number, administrative unit name, map scale, execution time and executing unit, name of the unit inspecting and accepting the product, recording date, technical product information;

Technical product information includes: projection grid, central meridian, method of technology establishment;

Paper products must be arranged in sequence and contained in high-durability packaging. The packaging must indicate the information as stipulated in Point b Clause 2 Article 33.

More details can be found in Circular 47/2014/TT-BTNMT,which comes into effect in Vietnam from August 22, 2014.
