Information and Data to be Collected When Establishing Coastal Protection Corridors

Circular 29/2016/TT-BTNMT was issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on October 12, 2016, specifying the information and data required to be collected when establishing coastal protection corridors.

Accordingly, Circular 29 stipulates the information and data to be collected and aggregated, including:

- Information and data on natural conditions, natural resources, and ecosystems, including geological conditions, coastal geomorphology, meteorology, hydrology, oceanography; potential and distribution of various resources; protected areas, ecosystems;- Information and data on natural landscapes, cultural heritage, including information and data on historical-cultural sites, scenic spots, landscape protection areas;- Information and data on planning and socio-economic development plans, including socio-economic development plans of the entire country, various sectors, and localities;- Information and data on the current status of exploitation and use of coastal resources by marine economic sectors and fields, including tourism, transportation, seaports, oil and gas and minerals, fisheries, and other resource exploitation activities; information and data on planning and plans for the exploitation and use of coastal resources by industries and localities;- Information and data on the current state of the environment, environmental pollution risks, including information and data on the current status of water environment components, sediment environment, pollution status, environmental incidents, and pollution sources in the coastal area;- Information and data on the situation, dynamics, and natural disaster risks including coastal dynamics, erosion and accretion situations; the scale and extent of the impact of strong winds (including: storms, tropical depressions, monsoons, tornadoes, whirlwinds, and other types of severe wind disasters, hereinafter collectively referred to as storms), flash floods, flooding, climate change, sea-level rise impacting the coastal area; other types of natural disasters; information and data on solutions for prevention, mitigation, and reduction of adverse impacts of natural disasters on coastal areas, coastal protection structures;- Information and data from remote sensing images or aerial photographs;- Other relevant information and data.
