On September 16, 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 990/QD-TTg on the Implementation Plan for the Planning for Phu Yen province of Vietnam for the period 2021-2030, with vision to 2050.

The Prime Minister of Vietnam issued the Implementation Plan for the Planning for Phu Yen province of Vietnam for the period 2021-2030, with vision to 2050 with the main contents regarding public investment projects and investment projects using other sources of funds apart from public investment funds as follows:

(1) Public investment projects

- Focus on implementing projects identified in the provincial planning, with priority given to infrastructure projects that create significant impact, especially strategic transportation infrastructure of the province, ensuring synchronization, modernity, promoting intra-regional and inter-regional connectivity associated with economic development corridors in key developmental areas of the province; infrastructure for healthcare, education, culture, sports, social welfare; urban technical infrastructure in key areas.

- Continue to prioritize investment in completing irrigation infrastructure, dikes, embankments, water supply, and drainage to meet socio-economic development needs, ensure social security, national defense, security, disaster prevention, adaptation to climate change, sea-level rise, and other technical infrastructure and social infrastructure projects identified in the provincial planning.

(2) Investment projects using other sources of funds apart from public investment funds

- Invest in completing the province's infrastructure to optimize the investment effectiveness of infrastructure projects that have been or are being implemented using public investment funds; attract investments to expand, enhance productivity and efficiency of production and business facilities in key developmental areas, focusing on developmental zones of the province.

- Attract investment for industrial development towards increasing productivity, quality, efficiency, resource-saving, and environmental friendliness; increase the occupancy rate of existing industrial zones and clusters and invest in building new industrial zones and clusters to meet the province's development needs. Priority for development and investment attraction in driving industrial sectors linked with the marine economy; expand and develop existing industries towards producing refined products, deeply processed products with high technology content, less environmental pollution, high-added value; develop competitive industries such as: Metallurgy; refinery and petrochemicals; energy production; chemicals; electronic products manufacturing; digital technology; infrastructure investment for industrial clusters, industrial zones...

- Strongly develop urban services, logistics, financial-banking services, and postal and telecommunications services with a focus. Develop tourism combined with leisure, science and technology activities, high-value medical and healthcare services; focus on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, developing experience tourism products, tourism combined with workshops, conferences, events (MICE), leisure, and eco-tourism with accompanying services such as hotels, restaurants, entertainment, adventure sports.

- Develop agriculture towards modernity, ecology, sustainability linked with building new rural areas, modern urban areas; form specialized agricultural production zones; attract enterprises to invest in agriculture and apply high technology in production, enhance the value of local agricultural production in-depth, creating high-added value.
