The Law on Urban Planning 2009 of Vietnam provides urban planning activities including elaborating, evaluating, approving and adjusting urban planning; organizing the implementation of urban planning and managing urban development according to approved urban planning, approved by the National Assembly on June 17, 2009. There are prohibited acts specified in this Law.
Specifically, according to Article 16 of the Law on Urban Planning 2009 of Vietnam, prohibited acts include:
One, failing to perform the responsibility to organize urban planning.
Two, selecting incapable consultancy organizations for urban planning.
Three, elaborating, evaluating, approving and adjusting urban planning in violation of this Law.
Four, illegally intervening in urban planning activities.
Five, granting planning licenses in violation of this Law,
Six, granting planning certificates in areas without approved urban planning.
Seven, refusing to provide information, except for information classified as state secret; providing wrong information on urban planning.
Eight, deliberately violating approved urban planning.
Nine, destroying urban space, architecture and landscape.
Ten, place boundary markers in wrong places; destroying and displacing urban planning boundary markers.
Eleven, obstructing and causing difficulties to urban planning and the realization of urban planning.
