How to Record Investment Capital Accurately When Declaring the Outbound Investment Form?

Recently, Circular 03/2018/TT-BKHDT was issued by the Ministry of Planning and Investment to replace Circular 09/2015/TT-BKHDT to provide guidance and issue document templates for carrying out overseas investment procedures.

According to the new regulations, the declaration of investment capital when filling out the overseas investment form is carried out as follows:

- In the documents for the investor's declaration, the investor shall state the investment capital in numbers and words, in the foreign currency used for the investment; then convert it into Vietnamese Dong and US Dollar.- In the Certificate of Overseas Investment Registration, the issuing authority shall state the investment capital in numbers and words, in the foreign currency used for the investment; then convert it into US Dollar.

Additionally, Circular 03 also guides on the person signing the documents in the overseas investment procedure dossier, specifically:

- For investors who are organizations, the person signing the documents as per the template in Circular 03 is the legal representative of the organization.- For investors who are individuals, the investor themselves shall sign the documents as per the template in this Circular.
