How to Properly Understand Labor Accidents in the Ministry of National Defense?

On January 04, 2017, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 01/2017/TT-BQP stipulating the declaration, investigation, statistics, and reporting of workplace accidents in the Ministry of National Defense.

According to Circular 04, a labor accident is an accident that causes injury to any part or function of the body or results in the death of a worker, occurring during the labor process, connected with the performance of work or labor tasks, including:

- Accidents occurring during the labor process associated with the performance of tasks such as: training, business trips, studying, production labor, or performing other tasks according to the regulations of the Ministry of Defense;- Accidents occurring during the performance of work or other tasks as assigned by the commander or authorized person in writing by the employer directly;- Accidents occurring to a worker at the workplace and during working hours, including while attending to essential daily needs as permitted by the Labor Code and unit regulations;- Accidents occurring to a worker on the route from home to work or from work to home within a reasonable timeframe and route;- Accidents occurring to a worker while performing tasks abroad as decided by the Minister of National Defense.
