This is one of the notable provisions mentioned in Circular 34/2019/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regulating the energy information system.

According to regulations, the coordinating unit responsible for the exchange and provision of energy information (hereinafter referred to as the Coordinating Unit) is the unit assigned by Ministries and sectors to manage and process information and data related to energy information within the scope of Circular 34/2019/TT-BCT.
To be specific, the energy information collected includes:
- Information on energy consumption in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors by type of fuel;- Information on the quantity, average energy consumption, average travel distance, total energy consumption for road, rail, waterway, and air transport vehicles by type of fuel;- Information on the quantity and value of energy product imports and exports by commodity code;- Socio-economic indicators; added value of economic sub-sectors; data from business and household survey programs;- Information on the total floor area, energy consumption of commercial and residential buildings by building type, by fuel type, and by usage purpose.
The provision of energy information by the Coordinating Units is implemented in the following two forms:
- Paper documents with the confirmation of the leader of the Coordinating Unit sent to the focal unit;- Electronic documents sent via the electronic reporting software system on the energy information system website at veis.erea.gov.vn or to the email address veis@moit.gov.vn.
The deadline for providing information is implemented according to agreements and information exchange cooperation.
